       The Western Digital hard drive is an external hard drive that can carry all of your photos, movies, music and other valuables that will not fit on your personal computer. Normally, the WD hard drive will have a warranty that is valid from the time you purchased the hard drive. Checking the warranty is easy; you just need to know where to look for some important information on your hard drive

1. • -1.Search for the hard drive's serial number. Check the sticker label on the back or the side of your hard drive; the location is different for different models. The number starts with "SN." Write down the number.

   • -2.Go to the WD website. Hover over the blue tab titled "Support" and scroll down to the "Warranty & RMA Services" option. From here, click on the red "End User Customers" option, then the "Warranty Check" option. It is here that you will need your serial number.
